CEI Cornea Fellowship
The Cornea, Cataract, Refractive, and Anterior Segment Surgery fellowship at the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Eye Institute provides a well-rounded training experience in all aspects on the evaluation and treatment of the medical and surgical problems of cornea and external disease, cataract, ocular surface disease and refractive patients.
The fellow will perform and take part in traditional corneal surgeries, as well as advanced techniques such as DSEK, DMEK, DALK, keratoprosthesis, refractive procedures and ocular surface reconstruction. In addition, the fellow will perform a large number of cataract and anterior segment surgeries with the goal of perfecting their current technique and acquiring new skills, including advanced/complex cataract and IOL surgery.
A strength of this fellowship is the clinical and surgical exposure to a wide variety of pathology involving the cornea and anterior segment.
