Get to Know Dr. Chen

Peter Chen, M.D. is a fellowship trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. He grew up in Metro Detroit, Michigan, and received his bachelor degree at University of Michigan. He completed his medical degree at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Chen then completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at University of Cincinnati, where he served as a rotating Chief Resident and received the Residency Award for Outstanding Achievement in Humanism and Clinical Care. Dr. Chen then completed a glaucoma fellowship at The Ohio State Havener Eye Institute.
Dr. Chen performs cataract surgery and a variety of laser and surgical procedures for the treatment of glaucoma. He sees patients at the University Medical Arts Building and at the Blue Ash office. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society, and has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed abstracts and journal articles.

In his free time, Dr. Chen enjoys cooking and checking out new restaurants with his wife, watching basketball and football, and walking his pup, Winston.
