Get to Know Dr. Tauqeer

Zujaja Tauqeer, M.D., D.Phil. is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon at Cincinnati Eye Institute. Hailing from New York City, she was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford in England where she completed her doctorate in History of Medicine and then received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School with a merit scholarship for her work.

After completing her ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she trained in adult and pediatric vitreoretinal surgery at Associated Retinal Consultants/Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. She was selected nationally as a Heed Fellow, one of the most prestigious honors given to those who are pursuing academic careers in ophthalmic patient care, education, and research. Dr. Tauqeer is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
