Get to Know Dr. Tauqeer

Zujaja Tauqeer, M.D., D.Phil. is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon at Cincinnati Eye Institute. Hailing from New York City, she was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford in England where she completed her doctorate in History of Medicine and then received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School with a merit scholarship for her work.

After completing her ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, she trained in adult and pediatric vitreoretinal surgery at Associated Retinal Consultants/Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. She was selected nationally as a Heed Fellow, one of the most prestigious honors given to those who are pursuing academic careers in ophthalmic patient care, education, and research. Dr. Tauqeer is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
