John Baumer, O.D. is an Akron, Ohio native who is excited to be pursuing his residency in ocular disease at Cincinnati Eye Institute. He is a 2024 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and 2020 graduate of The Ohio State University where he majored in pharmaceutical sciences. During optometry school, he was a member of the American Optometric Student Association, Private Practice Club, Ocular Disease Club, and completed his student fellowship through the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Baumer is licensed to practice in both Ohio and Kentucky.

In his spare time, Dr. Baumer enjoys golfing, running, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
